Woman, we are proud of you

Woman, we are proud of you

We began to cut our hair, to raise our skirts, to go for a walk alone, but above all to think for ourselves. All this has been a decision to do what we are passionate without thinking about what others say. We can choose between pants or skirt, beer or wine, car or motorcycle, police or chef, anything you choose is fine.

The women’s rights movement began in the nineteenth century and feminist movement in the  20th century. It is known as the rights and entitlements claimed for women and girls worldwide. Women’s rights include the right: to bodily integrity and autonomy; to be free from sexual violence; to vote; to hold public office; to enter into legal contracts; to have equal rights in family law; to work; to fair wages or equal pay; to have reproductive rights; to own property; to education.

In the ancient Egypt, women had the same rights under the law as men, however rightful entitlements depended upon social class. Moreover, women during the early Vedic period in India enjoyed equal status with men in all aspects of life. So, what changed on history to decrease women rights? We don’t know the cause but women from centuries has been inferior because of its anatomy. Despite that, we are showing that we can do the same as men.

Nowadays, we are more risky people, we want to have a great job, be independent and conquer the world. Increasingly we are the heads of the company, which give the best idea of he team. There are also traveling women, who break schemes and embark on the adventure of the expedition. Did you know that many years ago in many countries women were not allowed to travel alone or leave their home when they wanted? Now all this has changed and more and more women want to come out of their shell and travel the world.

We even dressed as we want, when a few years ago women did not wear pants because it was not for them, now we enjoy sitting anywhere with beautiful jeans, free of any prejudice and feeling super comfortable and proud of what we wear.

We go anywhere, and have the profession that we like. With the passing of the years it becomes more frequent for us to be policemen, we carry trucks and we are even in charge of gigantic constructions. We break the gender gap because we are women of the 21st century, we want to do everything in our power.

We want to congratulate every woman for the struggle she is winning. We are proud of each of you!!
